Liam's new hat!

I love Liam in his new hat!! Thank you Auntie Carol and Uncle Hermann! My favorite is when he rocks it homie style. That will require a whole new post when I have a good picture!

A visit from Kristin

A busy weekend for Liam!! My good friend Kristin came over for a visit from Vancouver. Lucky little Liam got a bottle from Kristin! Boy, does he love her!!

Here are Liam and Kristin on Sunday. Kristin picked out his outfit for the day! We were happy to have Kristin over to witness some of Liam's milestones. First, a major blowout diaper in a restaurant that required a total outfit change. And second, Liam discovering his "bits"!! Both provided us with much amusement!! Thanks for coming out, Kristin!

Mommy/Daddy pictures

Here is Ian with Liam teaching him how to stand up on the bed. Next thing you know he will be jumping!
Yikes!! Good thing Liam isn't actually looking at his Daddy in this picture!

Here is Liam in his cute new summer hat. He is riding forward facing in his Baby Bjorn carrier.

I jumped so hard I lost my sock!

What Daddy does.

MOM!! Not again?!!

Yep. Liam spit-up during tummytime and before I could get to him it was all over his face!! And I thought last time was bad! This was all over his face, above his eyebrow and up his nose!! What a silly little boy!! I think it is foreshadowing for when we start solid foods!
Melissa, Kalina, Liam and I travelled to Saturna Island the other day so that I could look at some property Ian and I were interested in out there. The trip was an adventure and the property a bust!! We took the direct ferry there in the morning. It was Kalina's first time on a boat!! We checked out the property when we first arrived: tidal river...more like a mud flat!! Here are our babies in their new umbrella strollers by the ferry terminal on Saturna Island! A beautiful view!! Aren't they adorable!? We also got to stop over on Mayne Island on the way back. What a trip!!

Here we are at the Saturna Island winery. This was the highlight of the trip for me. Neither of us had ever been to a winery, nor had we ever done a wine tasting!! Now we have and it was very fun! The lunch at the bistro was awesome! We enjoyed our purple pineapple dessert, too! The building has the most amazing view across the vineyard to the ocean and the other Gulf Islands. The wood used to construct the building was actually brought over from Mitchosin where Melissa lives! As beautiful as Saturna Island was, I don't think I would like to live there; it looks just like home, but without all the much appreciated ammenities of life on Vancouver Island. I think I will just stay on this island instead!!
